Our Story

In 2005, a group of concerned citizens gathered to change our local landscape. Alcohol, drug and tobacco use among youth was our main concern.

Surveys show alcohol remains the most commonly used drug among youth. However, most youth don't use alcohol - about 80%, in fact. Today, the coalition is in the ninth year of a ten-year federal grant with year ten starting in October.

Through education, information, resources and advocacy, we're trying to make a change in and around Orrville, a small rural community about an hour from Cleveland and Columbus.

We are poised to make our community a healthy place for youth and families. We serve the City of Orrville and surrounding areas.

We are now in year 9 of the 10 year federal grant working on capacity beyond year 10.
